Tomorrow, this sea of bags--along with other boxes and bags of food--will go to the hungry in Framingham, MA. What started as two restaurant owners seeing a need in the community and stepping out in faith, has grown to an essential ministry showing the love of Christ in very tangible ways. A little obedience and faith can lead to great things. Shout out to Daniel's Table and the great work they do!

Words have power. Even if you don't write or speak well, your voice matters. Someone needs to hear you speak love, mercy, and truth into their life. Yours may be the only voice they'll listen to.

This little guy is a replica of a beehive hut, a common prehistoric Irish dwelling adopted by early monks in Ireland in the 5th century. I keep it on my desk to remind me to seek "monastic" moments of silence, solitude, Scripture, and prayer. Without those moments of intimacy with God, the mission to love as He loves suffers. Without being poured into, there is no pouring out, no getting "ugly" for the sake of others. Don't forsake the monastic for the missional, for one drives the other.
